Backend Team Leader

What will you do?

• Play an active part in the end-to-end R&D life-cycle: from scoping and requirements, through design, research, and implementation, to deployment and measurement
• Work with other teams and stakeholders, finding the best way for success
• Deliver the best product to our clients, on time with quality & content
• Be a part of a unique, multidisciplinary pioneering team of professional aces: front-end, back-end, full-stack, and more:
• Mentor and grow team members
• Cultivate an environment of high productivity, collaboration, and energy
• Lead by example and engage the team to build our product at the best quality and timeframe, strive for improvement, and impact end-users
• Provide technical leadership and mentoring to the team.
• Play a significant role in building & shaping the R&D organisation.

What will you need?

• Proven experience as a team leader with excellent people skills
• 7+ years, BE hands-on development of high-quality code. (Python, Java, preferred Scala)
• Experience working with cross-functional teams such as Product, Quality, AI, DevOps, etc.
• Ability to define, maintain and improve high code standards by leading others and putting the right process in place
• Tech-savvy - like to learn and develop your tech skills with the latest technology and methodologies
• Ownership, initiative, and self-motivation
• Resourcefulness, outside-the-box thinking, can-do attitude
